Steam Generator Automation
If you have an intermittent requirement for steam during your manufacturing process, then a steam generator is the way to go. A steam generator has the ability to produce steam from a cold start within 3 minutes. Running a boiler is un-economical especially for intermittent steam requirements. The Technical Manager of Steele Admech has experience in the design and retro-fitting of fit for purpose steam systems.
The steam generator is usually a very manual based piece of equipment, but it is possible to automate the operating procedure to suit a specific clients requirements, i.e.
- Automatic startup as a specific time of the day.
- Usage based automatic shutdown, i.e if steam has not been required for a pre-defined period of time then the steam generator will automatically shutdown.
- More elaborate control system with HMI when more than one steam generator is being used within a defined steam system. All components / instruments from each steam generator can then be individually monitored during operation. The running times of the various steam generators can also be managed to include for planned maintenance or standby.
